Study Material

When you think about the Bible, there are many perspectives you might take. All based on what you’ve experienced or have been taught. But if you really study this book you will without a doubt realize that the Bible is amazing. The fact that we have translations available in English that are so accurate to the original Greek is a privilege we all should take advantage of.  These are not just stories. These are revelations about God, and directly reveal His design for us and the world. From Genesis to Revelation, the whole of the Bible describes the invisible God and His invisible Kingdom.

It’s sadly true that in the recent generations our knowledge about the Bible and its teachings is decreased. Not as many people study the Word, and it isn’t taught as much as it should be. With that being said, it is never too late to become an avid student.

If you have never fallen asleep reading the Bible, you’re missing out. If you’ve never woke up early in the morning to read the Bible before you start your day, you’re missing out. And if you’ve never fallen in love with the gospels and its ancient words, you’re missing something amazing. When you think about the Bible, you should feel a sense of respect for it. It is something I personally hold very dear.

I began being exposed to Bible knowledge from when I was young. Through teachings about the Bible, preachers and teachers revealed this knowledge to me. My Mom, as well, used to read the Bible to me when I was a child. And later as a young man, I began to encounter Jesus on a deep, personal level. For most of my life I have studied the Bible and increased in my knowledge about its principles. I am a thinker and a learner. And the Bible has been the best book I’ve ever studied. I am devoted to learning from it every day.

There’s a book by the great author James Smith called The Voyage and Shipwreck of St. Paul that I would recommend to anyone who would like to learn more about the history behind the Bible itself. James Smith was a member of the Geographic Society and an esteemed scholar. He talks about the proficiency with which Luke (the author of Acts) detailed events in the Bible. Every location and prominent ruler in Acts has been verified as being historically accurate by other sources. And that’s the case throughout the whole Bible. It’s the most historically accurate document in the world.

Knowledge, growth, truth, spiritual infilling. Reading and studying the Bible provides so much. It feeds us humans on all levels. Mental, emotional, and spiritual. The Bible is amazing in that it provides guidance for every life situation. It doesn’t matter what circumstance in which you find yourself, the Bible provides direction for what is truth. If you want to weather the storms of life, you have to be familiar with truth. And to be familiar with truth study this book. The Bible is the book you need to read. Think about it.
